The museum buildings can accommodate around 15 adults or a larger number if the group can be divided between the different sites. There is a storage facility for bags and coats. The education space can accommodate up to 5 adults for a handling session.

For special interest groups items from the collection, in addition to those on display, can be viewed as part of a pre-arranged group visit. Loans boxes and workshops designed for schools can also be booked with a more adult focus.
