Examine the historical development of the modern police force and how it has evolved in Petersfield and the surrounding area. Explore a variety of sources, from artefacts to documents— including an opportunity to experience a Victorian cell. Review records of crimes heard at the magistrates' court and investigate how social change has influenced crimes and punishments over time. Discuss what has changed and why these changes occurred.
