What to expect :
Escape the classroom, bring your sketch books and explore the gallery's current exhibition. Perfect for creating content for engaging research pages that demonstrate how easy it is to gather resources, encouraging students to think beyond simple image searches.
Recording in the gallery :
Students will have the chance to capture their unique observations and experiences. They'll explore mark-making and textures with dry materials, take captivating photographs, and jot down intriguing notes about objects, ideas, and inspirations in the gallery space.
Experimental Session
We will set up a range of materials that you can refine and try out their ideas in the courthouse learning space. Students will be given a range of media and prompts to create work from their photos and drawings.
Something for everyone..
Our temporary art exhibitions look at many themes, and we also have our local history collection, which covers archaeological finds, police cells, textiles collection and much more.
