An Evening with Edward Thomas (7.30pm)

Who was Edward Thomas? Why is he so important in the world literature? Why do we celebrate his life and work?
Find out the answers to these questions and much more with this special evening that looks to introduce you to Edward Thomas, his life and work.

Tuesday 28th September:
'Sacred, Broken Roads': An evening of Edward Thomas and Ivor Gurney (6.30pm)

A special evening of poetry, music and discussion exploring the works and connections between war poets Edward Thomas and Ivor Gurney.

Thursday 30th September:
Stephanie Norgate 'The Conversation' Book Launch and Music (7pm)

Join us in our unique Victorian Justice complex to celebrate the launch of poet Stephanie Norgate's latest collection of work: The Conversation. The evening will also include music from cellist Laura Ritchie.

Friday 1st October:
'Roads': An Evening of Poetry and Music (7pm)

Taking inspiration from Edward Thomas's poem 'Roads', the evening will include the reading of specially commissioned poems written in response to 'Roads' by poets, Stephanie Norgate, Sasha Dugdale, Jessica Mookherjee and Aviva Dautch. There will also be poetry readings and discussion with former National Poet of Wales, Gillian Clarke.
