Accessibility

We want everyone who visits Petersfield Museum to feel welcome, find the information they need and have a rewarding experience. During our redevelopment we have implemented a number of changes to the building to ensure convenience for all.

We hope the following information will help you plan your trip to the Museum. If you require any further information please contact us:

We are always looking at ways to make access to the museum easier and value your feedback in refining how we improve our services. Simply contact us today with any suggestions on how we can support you on your requirements, and we’ll work to accommodate your needs.

Wheelchair and Buggy Access

The Museum site is fully accessible for wheelchair users and buggies, but at a certain point on the journey around the site you will have to double back to continue the planned route as a result of stairs located at the end of the Petersfield Gallery and just before the Don Eades Collection.

If coming back across from the Flora Twort Gallery and taking the door on the right-hand side of the Petersfield Gallery, upon entry you will see some steps which lead up to the Don Eades Collection. To avoid these steps, please come back around to the start of the Petersfield Today Gallery, and then opposite the Covid exhibition case you should see a blue door, which says 'Step-free access to the Stanfield Gallery, The Cells and The Pathways Gallery'. Please continue through this door to continue the Museum journey.

Please ask the Museum team for further guidance if required.
