Walk in the footsteps of the First World War-time poet Edward Thomas, in this special walk running as part of Petersfield Museum's Edward Thomas Literary Festival and East Hampshires, Creative Footsteps Festival.
Starting in the village of Steep where he lived with his family, and visiting Thomas’s memorial Poet’s Stone on Shoulder of Mutton Hill above the village. Led by Edward Thomas experts and enthusiasts this walk will include readings of both Edward’s prose and poetry and bring to life his words in the locations that inspired them. Participants will get a fascinating insight into his life and works and how nature and the local countryside inspired his writing.
Tickets from £6, the walk includes rough terrain and steep inclines so stout footwear is advised.
