George Marston, often known simply as ‘Shackleton’s artist’ was a leading member of Shackleton’s first independent expedition to the South Pole. He was also a key organiser for his second, the famous Endurance expedition. Linked firmly with Petersfield through his marriage to Hazel Roberts, daughter of Harry Roberts, he organised government support for rural craft industries. Discover more about his fascinating story in this compelling talk about his life and adventures.
