PLEASE NOTE - THE DATE OF THIS WALK HAS CHANGED FROM THE 15TH JUNE TO 29TH JUNE

The rise of the online retailer is blamed for the decline and changing face of the country's high streets over the last two decades. This walk along Petersfield High Street will explore the changes that have occurred through its 1,000 years of history, from live stock markets, coaching inns, a corn exchange and an Austin bank to Woolworths, Curry’s, Rams Walk and other changes in living memory. Images from Petersfield Museum's photo archive will be used during the walk to illustrate these changes and allow you to envisage what the town would have looked like in times gone by.

Unless otherwise stated all our walks start from outside the Museum. Maximum number on a walk is 20, so to avoid disappointment it is best to book in advance. Maximum of 3 under 16s tickets per paying adult. If you have any queries, please email education@petersfieldmuseum.co.uk or give us a call on 01730 262601.
