The Courthouse

20th March, 2018 - 8th December, 2018

General admission fees apply

Start and end times
10:00am - 4:00pm

The Courthouse this year will hold exhibitions relating to the end of the First World War in 1918 and the Representation of the People Act of the same year which gave some women over the age of 30 the right to vote. We will also be highlighting some of the inspirational women who have called Petersfield home throughout history.

We have exhibitions looking at life in Victorian Petersfield and a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first Hi-Lights amateur theatre performance.

Some of our volunteers have also selected some of their favourite items from our collections which don't always come out on display in a Cabinet of Curiosities!

The map below shows the location of each house in Petersfield and the surrounding villages which lost someone during the course of the First World War.

Click on one of the pins to learn more about each of the individuals.

Many thanks go to Judith, our Museum volunteer who put this map together.
