Join us for this fascinating talk where you will hear the tale of a remarkable woman who achieved so much in spite of her hearing impairment in a time when disability was a major barrier to all aspects of life. Follow her story from India in the 1890s to the East End of London in the early 1910s, her role as a well known Suffragist before WW1, being sent to Holloway Gaol, how she gave her house over to refugees in 1914 during the First World War, before becoming involved in unusual education in the 1920s and 1930s.
Told by her grand daughter this talk will also explore what she like as a mother and grandmother.
