PLEASE NOT: THIS WALK WILL NOW START OUTSIDE OF LLYODS BANK IN PETERSFIELD SQUARE AT 2.30PM
The coming of the railway in 1859 led to a significant increase in the population of Petersfield during Victorian times with major developments taking place that still shape the town today.
Starting outside Llyods Bank, the Square, we will explore how new industries and shopping opportunities were created together with the supporting infrastructure and housing. The walk will end at the Victorian Police Station.
