Wymering Manor, the oldest remaining house in Portsmouth, has a long and interesting history. First recorded in 1042 when it was owned by King Edward the Confessor it has changed hands many times and accommodated many dignitaries including Queen Emma of the Sandwich Islands! This talk given by The Wymering Manor trust will explore and shed more light on this fascinating building and its’ past as well as highlight their goals for the future restoration and conservation of the house and grounds.
