Tap into your imagination and learn how artists are inspired by the subconscious, taking inspiration from the inner self which becomes the foundation of their work.

Join us for a one-day workshop exploring the practice of drawing from the subconscious taking inspiration by artists, paintings and sculptures in our exciting summer exhibition, Peggy Guggenheim: Petersfield to Palazzo.

Workshop Details

Led by artist Richenda Court A.R.E., the morning session will focus on generating ideas and exploring 3-4 featured artworks in the exhibition for inspiration. Time will be dedicated to observing and sketching the works for reference.

The afternoon session will be focused on creating a variety of drawings and making individual small concertina sketchbooks of drawings.

Tutor and artist Richenda Court will be showing samples of her daily subconscious drawings and sharing how his technique becomes the foundation of a print.
